A Few Things You May Be Wondering (FAQ)

24-hour live-in care means I come and stay in your home for the duration of your booking, making it my base during the day and overnight. The aim is for your pets to enjoy their usual routine and for your home to continue running as normal, so you can relax knowing everything is being looked after. Before the sit begins, we’ll discuss your pets’ routines, your home and anything you’d like me to take care of while you’re away. This may include feeding, walks, playtime, medication or everyday household tasks such as bringing in deliveries, watering houseplants or putting the bins out. I’ll follow the routine we’ve agreed together.I only care for one household at a time, so I do not divide my care between different clients during your booking. Like anyone living in a home, I may leave the house for reasonable periods during the day for everyday errands or appointments, always planning these around your pets’ agreed routine and needs.Alongside pet and house sitting, I also work as a freelance French conversation coach. My work is fully remote and flexible, so I arrange my schedule around your pets’ routine, not the other way round. If you’d like updates while you’re away, I’m always happy to send you messages and photos, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pets are settled and everything at home is being looked after.

Once you’ve submitted your enquiry via the contact form, I’ll then review your request and usually send you a personalised quotation within 24 hours.Receiving a quotation doesn’t commit you to anything. It’s simply an opportunity to review the price and decide whether you’d like to take the next step.If you’re happy to proceed, we’ll arrange a complimentary meet & greet at your home. This is an important part of the process, giving us the chance to meet each other, meet your pets, discuss their routines, answer any questions and make sure we're all comfortable that it's the right fit. If either of us feels the arrangement isn’t quite right, that’s absolutely fine, there’s no obligation on either side.If we decide to go ahead, I’ll explain the next steps and send your invoice. Once the required payment has been received, I’ll confirm the booking in writing and your dates will be secured. You’ll also receive a client information form to complete, so I have everything I need to care for your pets and home.Shortly before the sit begins, I’ll arrange another visit to go through the final details, such as feeding routines, walks, medication, house instructions and anything else you’d like me to know. This visit is included as part of my service, helping everything run as smoothly as possible from the moment you leave.

Your home and privacy are always treated with care and discretion. If there are any areas you would prefer me not to use during the sit, we can agree this beforehand.

Whether your pets have additional needs, your arrangements are a little different or you live outside my usual area, please do get in touch. Every enquiry is considered individually, and we’ll discuss your requirements together before either of us commits to a booking. What remains the same is the type of care I provide: 24-hour live-in pet and house sitting, staying in your home day and overnight. I don’t offer daycare, walks-only or drop-in visits.
